The Rhinos travelled extensively across the Eastern Cape for over a month, witnessing locust swarms, spekboom rehabilitation projects and formed a strong friendship along the way! The team included Natasha, Abdul, Luke and Sisipho.
This all-women lead team, fiercely tackled the surveys over five weeks and were even invited to partake in a wildlife hunt! The team included, Chrissie, Nwabisa, Muneera and Sarah.
The Eagles were true team players, helping to bail out other teams with flat tyres and trailblazing the survey with a wide range of stakeholders. They were Vhuthu, Jonah and Siphosethu.
The Lions were a fearless team, consisting of Natalie, Keith and Sipumle, and managed to face down both the big five and some tricky characters!
Known also as the 'A-team', these three were tasked to conduct the surveys where Afrikaans was the preferred language. The survey left a permanent stamp on their lives and consisted of Henno, Karlin and Candice.
The Meerkats had many adventures along the way, managing to navigate tick-bite fever, several flat tyres, and long drives through the province. The team included Yenziwe, Jordan, Sandiswa and Kaeleah.
