Creating a cohort of sustainable land management leaders

We sent 15 volunteers from our field assistant ranks to attend the Sustainable Land Management course hosted by the Herding Academy in Graaff-Reinet.  The course covered the fundamentals of holistic land management and regenerative agriculture for decision-makers and (future!) policy-makers.  The students conducted the course  from 3-7 May 2021 and will become teaching assistants for future training events when the survey moves to other provinces.  We hope to create a peer-peer learning community through this initiative.
